Rawat Airport

General perception is current government will take initiative for New Airport to be build in Rawat.

Fact that GT road decides the fate of Pakistan. Majority sit in Islamabad based parliament in every government always belong to GT road. Majority are in favor of Rawat side airport.

PML(N) is focusing on trade routes with neighboring countries keeping in view the economical routes. Rawat Airport suits more as compared to Fetah Jang Airport.

Lahore-GT road-Rawat Airport-Islamabad-Haripur.

Here, concept of tunnel still alive & quite possible.

Signal free route from Rawat Airport to Islamabad is under-consideration as well.

In last, PML(N) loves construction; it is possible.

Is it your own analysis or based on some news. If Rawat airport is constructed, any idea which will be the place? I cannot see any sufficient land in Rawat surroundings which can be used for this purpose.

Its my opinion considering the fact that Punjab govt built metro bus route on Ferozpur road Lahore utilizing huge amount in 2013. Now in 2014 Govt again working on same Feroz-pur road project just to widen/fly-overs/bridges/underpass COZ this road directly leads to India. I come to know that Trade with India is by this under-construction Feroz-pur road lahore.

Pakistan has also open doors to Afghanistan for India to reach Central Asia.

Pakistan also increasing trade with China (In-fact China needs Pakistani routes to reach India Market & Central Asia). Tunnel concept in Margala Hills is to reduce the route length from Islamabad to Huripur/Abbottabad ---> Signal free route between Islamabad (Capital)& Rawat Airport.

Further, I listen two days back in a people gathering about the Rawat Airport concept.After this I link this with the Trade route under-construction in Lahore for India(MFN).

Its personal opinion that chances are bright.

Brother the Tunnel Game is OVER now, the Supreme Court has decided that case and i also have the cutting of the news plus the Court Report as well.

It is a detailed verdict stamped by CDA that Government/CDA/State has no plan for a tunnel and Margalla Mountains would never be touched to kill the beauty of the area, so forget that.

Rawat Airport is not possible, Kahuta Security, too much water in Zone 5, plus many more factors which makes it not possible.

Zone 2 Airport is the only airport due for Islamabad.

Plus, even if Government plans to build up an airport in Zone 5, for Economic Zone, it will take another 20 years as Zone 2 Airport planning and purchase of land started in late 80's.

CDA has already cancelled that concept.

But you know pml(n) knows well how to clear such kind of hurdles where commission & revenue involves.

CDA is not an issue. Govt can dictate CDA but CDA can't to govt.

Further pml(n) never take interest in projects of previous govt. Its for sure. They always initiate something new for public...

Lets see what future has for us.
