Rain Drain

The whether in islamabad is cloudy, wet and raining.

So any reports of which sectors and societies have water drainage issues in streets? Someone has shared a picture of rainwater accumulated in a street in front of houses in e-11.

I think dha and bahria are generally doing ok but some newer sectors such as g-13/14 are showing signs of problems.

What about zone 2 societies such as jkchs, multi, cabinet, margala view etc?

Everyone to share what they see in newer developments?

I saw pictures of rain water accumulation on Margalla Road and Blue area Jinnah avenue. E-11's societies had not cleaned the rain water drains and those were clogged. Extra ordinary rain news items had appeared in newspapers almost 4 days before these rains but these societies never cared.

Regarding JKCHS, I want to highlight an angle of rain water and these new developments. Initially when houses are less in number like in G-15 and F-15, enough space in undeveloped and water is absorbed easily into earth. But when a sectors gets full, no spaces left, roads made, few grounds, rain water has only way out through rain water drains. No soft soul anywhere.

Likewise, another point is important. According to CDA bye laws, sewerage and rain water has separate connections on road. But due to lack of enforcement from authorities, some builders throw rain water in sewerage to reduce cost. It causes sewerage to overflow at times as sewerage drains are designed to hold regular load and rain water drains are designed to handle sudden loads.

Some streets of CDECHS have problems of rain water drainage
