Just wanted to know if it is possible to purchase a plot/land/file on my name if i am not present in pakistan? I am not sure how the process works as i would like to invest in pakistan but not sure how to start.

Yes its possible,appoint any of ur frnd or relative as ur Representative and make a power of attorney on their name which shows the buying or selling rights on ur behalf.
So in this way u can buy any plot on ur name through ur appointed attorney.

I would rather not have a power of attorney because then they are allowed to sell as well which is something I dont want.
Someone told me that only ID card is required to buy something hence presence is not essential. Just wanted to confirm if this could be the case?
Rajput sb that attorney will only for the purchase of plot on ur name,that person who have the attorney has not any right to sale that plot,only u can sale it or u will make another attorney for sale.

Doesnt work this way in DHA. You have to be present physically for all dealings
Firestreak have to be present physically for the plot transfer. What about the sale of files? Do we have to present then as well?
Can my father transfer a land on my name if I am not physically there. The transfer will be done in F8 katchery.
I guess Patwari transfers can be done without being present. Around an year back I transferred few plots of Murree on my sibling's name without any problem. Just had to present a representative in my cousin's case. Asked my driver to be his rep. So it's just a routine matter.

In Bahria too, one has to appoint the Authority.
