Dear forum memebers,
I would like to ask about upcoming panama verdict effect on property prices in islamabad/rawalpindi (particularly bt).
I am currently doing research on buying 10 marla plot and build a house. Should i wait for the outcome of decision or not. May friends are suggesting that if decision come against nawaz sharif, the market will collapse and i should wait for prices to come down.
Please suggest if anyone know any inside information. Thanks.

Panama decision will not affect the real estate sector.
After Dar real estate will rise again.Gov will complete tenure because everything and everybody in his pocket.

Interesting view Nadeem Sb. However, stock market is telling totally different story. Investors are not only cautious, volume has been stumbling also.
Even dealers in Bahria Town are saying that Panama decision will create panic big-time and all the black-money parked in property will have no choice to move it somewhere else.
If Nawaz is not safe than No corrupt will be safe in Pakistan. Let's wait and see I think.
No relation of Panama with property however the decisions in upcoming budget would have definite impacts.
Agreed with both Gurus above, our mainstream property sectors have are mature enough to not get too disturbed by Panama type decisions…
I don’t think the decision will effect market, because the market is already at lower side for a long time, its time to buy because if boom comes, property rates will rise across rwp/isd.
No comparison of stock markets vs property markets, stocks and currencies react to very little rumours and uncertainties
However, property market is more dependant on govt tax policies and developers performances, demand and supply,
Even if the decision results in political turmoil (although it is very unlikely that the SC will issue a decision that will rock the country), the instability will encourage people to find a safe haven for their savings. Inside Pakistan, the real estate sector is considered the safest safe haven. So prices will increase after a short period of people waking up to reality.
Sir stock market responds to even a cracker incident in any remotest part of the country but real estate is a different story.The investors in real estate mostly have some extra money which they can afford to park without having any dependency on it and can wait to get reasonable gains. Stock is an entirely different story as the decisions are impulsive dependent upon multifarious variables.And now i think that real estate is mature enough to sustain and grow without the circulation of black money as genuine players from within and overseas are interested to invest.
