Overseas pakistani investment options

Dear members

As an overseas pakistani and forum reader this forum and great members help me a lot even they don't know it i am thankful to all of you . I have been in gulf since 20 years and time is near to be back home . So far i have a simple plan for my retirement i purchased a 10 marla plot and 2 shops in b-17 . I will build home and earn from shop rents for my bread and butter . My question is its good idea or bad to having shops and earn rent from them ?. What else option do i have as i have 0 experience of business in pakistan and nor i am willing to do it after 20 years of jobs . Please advise how can we earn just simple living expenses for three members small family .i will have end service money and savings to invest one last time while i plan to move back please advise should i buy more shops with it ? and please let me know What is building age in Islamabad .And what will happen to shops if building age expires ?

@Imran,

It is indeed a good idea to build you own house for living and put 2 shops on rent. That will free you from kitchen expenses worries at least.

Then you can focus on keeping yourself busy and earn some extra income. Do not fall for any partnership proposal where you are investing only. Nor put your money in speculative plot files, construction projects, or other type of short-term flipping. You may end up loosing all of your hard earned money.

Your assets (cash, plot and shops) should remain protected.
