@SyedAmjad sb. Can you please explain how will the KH route benefit JKCHS. As KH link to motor way is already passing besides JKCHS. What extra benefit it will bring now?
It will benefit jkchs as direct route to airport…im assuming! one straight road!
@Intern. The present KH link road ends at the new zero point interchange and thats where it will likely remain if the airport access road is built from golra more, so the advantage of airport proximity will be reduced for JKCHS. If the KH road is extended till the airport the benefits will be immediate. At the moment, G-15 is the most populated sector near airport with a well built commercial area while the airport as of now is being built in the middle of nowhere. If the KH link is approved, I am hopeful that prices will almost double in G-15 in a short period of time after the airport becomes operational. Lets see how things work out.
@SyedAmjad sb. Thanks for the detailed answer. Few more questions: By new zero point do you mean crossinh of KH at GT road alongside G-15. Is it now officially new zero point? I think even if the glora morr route is selected but the direct link (already approved?) from G-15/16 is provided to present motorway link road even then the prices could double? What do you say?
@Intern. The term new zero point is used to refer to the junction of the motorway link road with the motorway itself which is about 4 kms from the GT road crossing...whether this designation is officially approved or still a proposal, frankly I am not aware of that.
Regarding the decision on access roads, I am confident that prices in G-15 will rise near to double after the airport opening, its just a question of how long it will take. If the KH route is approved, it will happen much faster due to the direct approach.
The new airport is not just an infrastructure project...its like a huge industry with 24x7 operations and possibly well over a thousand employees, both local and foreign. It will inevitably have a positive impact on adjoining areas and societies and at the moment, simply based on its present state of development, JKCHS G-15 seems to be ideally placed to get a lions share at the time of launch. Just my analysis.

I am just wondering how will the new route benefit bahria??
Its almost equally far from both possible entry points, isn't it?
Sir it will pass nearer to the Proposed ring road & bahria phase 8 will be linked with it. See the map of ring road.
Thanks Ali sb, could you please share the ring road map. The one I found was totally messed up, couldn’t make up any link with bahria on that.
@Ali i dont think so new route will be beneficial for malik riaz.
@MBS Unfortunately Rda is changing the alignment of ring road due to political pressure from interior minister. But the good thing is that they are starting land acquisition process for ring road.
Www.rda.gov.pk/research/RRRPreCM1101_2011.pdf‎ Old presentation available on internet.
Nice topic and discussion
Shahid yes it is an old presentation. Even then ring road will thru this area in the vicinity of New Airport. Final route yet to be decided.
This news confirms that they are not planning for Golrra/I-14 road, at least at this point of time.
Ch Shahid sb thans for sharing. More or less in every contract in our country there is something fishy found. Delays in completion, cost increase, under the table, and lot more. Where are we as a nation heading to ?
