I have a 600sq yard residential plot in Sector 7/A, Scheme 33, Gulzar-e-Hijri in Aligarh Cooperative Society. This plot has been under illegal qbaza for about 2-3 years and society is fighting the case in the Sindh High Court but it seems there's no justice for us.
Is it possible to sell this plot and what is the best price that I can get? All dues are fully paid, all documentation and ownership can be verified from the society office. Please advise.
Mate my family have 3 plots in Mashrique co-operative and we have same problem and case was fighting by society for 20 years in Sindh high court.Only one plot we get and remaining two still in encroachment. Its file even not worth a penny.I want to say don’t get high hopes but make file fully paid as just file sale/purchasing was high in booming market.Wait for market another rise and hope you atleast get your investment back if not any profit
Thanks for the reply KK. It’s a pity that we can’t even expect to get any justice from the courts. So much for the “free judiciary”.
Its not the question only of Judiciary in our case we get ruling in favor but when Police try to clear land Qabza group start firing and in replay one of their own died and suddenly its become political issue with ethnic dimension even discuss in Sindh assembly. Now who can blame Police for incompetence or judiciary???You live in Karachi yourself you know and understand those things better.Inshaallah we all get justice as its from Our honest and hard working income.
The incident you've described sounds like the one that occurred when the SHC ordered clearance of several plots in the area I mentioned above where our plot is under Qabza. Yes, you are right. But I don't think the people who fired at the police/rangers had tanks or automatic weapons. Why is our law enforcement so weak that it runs away when a few thugs pelt them with stones and fire a few shots with their TT pistols?
When these same law enforcers want to clear a crowd, they have everything including tear gas, water canons, lathee charge and what not. It's just insane how easy it is to scare them off and they run like school children instead of coming back with reinforcements. I don't think this happens in any other country where law enforcement agencies run away from a battle when a few bullets or stones come their way, especially when the thugs killed one of their members.
Yes, you're right. It's a political issue because I've heard and read that the qabza group is sponsored by certain political figures.
