Marble on old house

I want to update old house. Is it possible that if floors can be updated with marbles ?

Yes, very much possible and people do it for renovation of old houses.

Yes. Its a very normal practice in renovation. Firstly break the old floor up to 3 to 4 inches than level the floor than marble

Thanks all, but breaking floor to three inches with hammer will destroy the strength of house especially on upper floor?

Its not concrete that they will break just cement and sand with a very light ratio.
