Sources in the CDA told 'The News' that the CDA estate management wing has received less than 100 applications against around 500 plots of three sizes in response to civic body's advertisement campaign on which huge expenses have been made for the last one month. "Only 20 applications have been received for plots in D-12 and E-12 till Tuesday afternoon", sources said.

Due to poor response from the general public, the CDA management has extended date for receiving applications for plots from October 01 to October 04. However, it was unlikely that the extension would make any significant difference.

Sir, thanks for sharing this information. But it is not at all a good news for CDA. I guess people do not trust CDA anymore. I dont know the exact locations of E-12 and D-12. May the location is not good due to which CDA hasnt received a good response.

Consider Bahria Karachi on the other hand. Malik is making huge money mashALLAH, even through registration.

We as a nation are notorious for having a short term memory. However, unfortunately for CDA, it seems people still havent forgotten Park enclave (I am sure very few remember I-15 now). This is exactly what CDA has been reduced to, due to its pathetic track record. Even these 20 applicants are either foolish or people with some possibly inside information that no one else has.

It is entirely upto CDA to regain its credibility by delivering on some major projects ASAP such as Margalla Avenue, Kashmir Highway and atleast 2 of the previously sold undeveloped sectors. Otherwise, next time there plots might have to be sold on a "Buy one, get one Free Offer" basis!

To be more accurate, the total no. Of application they got were 25, that too i guess were not living in Pakistan, they were expatriates. Well Done CDA !

Dear Saadi.....

I remember your words and we were telling people here on this forum to refrain from this, as the plots were not worth what CDA were selling these for..... CDA will not learn the lesson coz the people which are running CDA has nothing at stake as they are getting their salaries and all other perks although this scheme has totally failed. Some one should intervene big time and ask for the millions of rupees they have wasted on the advertisement campaign.... This whole exercise was a big time failure....
