Following the recent relief package to elevate the construction industry, there have been expectations for continuation of several development projects. Among these, the LDA City is a prominent one.
Taking advantage of the recent relief and encouraging construction activities, LDA has invited certain tenders for its LDA City project. These include tenders for construction of the project’s entrance gate and expansion of the Chenab Road.
This is wonderful news for those who have invested in the LDA City as it means that development will soon pick up the pace. The process of issuance of tenders is expected between May 5 and May 12.
On the other hand, the LDA has also invited tenders for several projects across Lahore. These include construction of Samsani road in Johar town, overhead bridge on Khaira Distributary Road, pedestrian bridge (opposite UET), Imam Hussain Turn in Gulberg 3, rehabilitation of the PIA Planetarium, construction of Sabzazar Block D streets, Lal Pull Crossing on Canal Road, and development of the Barki Road.
This is going to provide the much-needed employment for daily wagers and labourers hard-hit by the government-imposed lockdown in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
