Largest low-cost housing project ‘Bahria Greens’ planned for Karachi

According to Bahria Town’s Facebook page, Malik Riaz has announced that he is planning to launch the largest low-cost housing project ‘Bahria Greens’ in Bahria Town Karachi.

This project will encompass 75 sq yds residential plots, combined with all the benefits currently enjoyed by the Bahria Town residents – like schools, parks, hospitals, playgrounds etc. The owners will be enabled to construct ground plus two-storey (4-bedroom) houses. Additionally, this society will also feature an overseas block.

Bookings are now open for Bahria Greens in Bahria Town Karachi. Forms are available at Bahria’s official website and people can submit them at any Bahria Town office or in UBL or Allied Bank branches.

Booking fee is PKR 295,000 and total amount is set at PKR 1,675,000 for the plots. Bahria Greens will be available for possession in three years and buyers will make payments in 16 quarterly instalments over four years. Buyers can also avail home financing services.

The Bahria Greens in undergoing development at a fast pace. Buyers will be allocated plot locations temporarily and will be finalised after demarcation. Those interested can find details on official Bahria Town online platforms.

The term & condition no 16 & 17 mention on the form clearly say that the price of 1.6 million doesn’t include development & utility charges, which mean bahria again launch new project with lot of gray areas.

Thanks for mentioning this piece of information. It is no new thing for Bahria Town to have grey areas within its projects. Therefore, we should not expect any different from Bahria Greens. To ask for separate development and utility charges is obviously a way to make extra money. This is even more confusing because Bahria Town is marketing its latest initiative as a low-cost housing project. I hope people do know what they are getting into before they actually make a final decision.
