Death is the most certain aspect of life. We see it happening all the time. Yet it is amazing how we feel that it won't happen to us. At least not anytime soon. We bury our own friends and relatives but think that we'll live forever. In a way we recognize it and even plan for it. We take out life insurance policies. We may do estate planning. Businesses and governments have contingency plans to carry out their operations in case of sudden loss of their leaders.
Death is something muslims should think about often and prepare for. One of the ways of preparing is to write a will (wasiyyah) that is in accordance with islamic principles. The prophet salalhualaihiwasalam said it is a duty of the muslim who has anything to bequeath not to let two nights pass without including it in his will [sahih al-bukhari]. However, the reality is that most muslims are ignorant about the importance of writing an islamic will including myself and for those people who do recognize its importance the process of islamic will writing can be daunting and challenging. The whole purpose is to be just and fair.
Can someone guide a good lawyer contact number who is well versed with sharia to draft an islamic will that can be also used outside pakistan? I prefer a lawyer from islamabad or rawalpindi area but open to any location if it can be done remotely.
Jazak’allah khair.
Any one? some one must surly have made Wasiyyah according to Quran. Please share contact of a specialist.
