Islamabad home - which sectors?

I want to buy a home in islamabad, preferably in one of the cda sectors. I know there are some housing schemes, but iam not sure about these.

My budget is 1.5 lacs. Can you please advise which areas will be suitable for my budget?

Ideally i would like to buy in a well built up resential area, as central as possible.

House in CDA sectors for 1.5 lac rupees, meaning Rs.150,000 ... Please let me know too if you found one.

I think you might mean 1.5 crore or you mean a different currency (like dollars) and not rupees.

You can explore CDA sector I-14, not a bad option, a 6 Marla could be bought around 40 lacs and you can even save money from 1.5 crores, you have.

Alternately, B-17 is also under your budget. F-17 is distinct from main Islamabad but if you are CDA fan, F-17 could also be explored.

In 40 lacs, in CDA sectors, apart from B-17/F/17/I-14, you can get a 5 Marla in O-9 (Police Foundation) as well. O-9 is closer to Islamabad thru the Islamabad highway and fully developed with good rental value

Please get info from other corners also before you make up your mind.

Also in G-11, a 5 Marla double story old PHA house could be bought as a single story around 80-90 lacs and could be doubled. Total cost would not be more than 1.5 crores.

Suprisingly these houses are made very strong on base.

My friend had one, doubled,rented and now bought another one in same block for his living.

Where exactly in G-11? I have seen PHA apartments on Kashmir Highway.

One other question - I believe the CDA has a list of of what it considers 'illegal' private housing schemes. Should I ignore these housing schemes ? Surely the CDA cannot just simply evict people who have already invested and built homes in these area.

Are certain private schemes which should be avoided?

@Ali ... In a place like our country, nothing can be said for the future. If you are overseas or a plain sharif man with halal money then better avoid anything ambiguous. Who could think that they might tax property transactions done years ago, but could happen now as I am hearing although not entirely clear yet.

The brother asking for 40 lac plot advice shouldn't throw his question in an irrelevant thread and cause utter confusion. I can't tell now who is answering who. After all, opening a new thread doesn't cost a penny.
