I would want to ask you a question about bahria design wing, is it worth to pay the money or one could get the map approval from private architecture please?

It will be in Bahria Phase 8 Overseas Sector 3 InShaALLAH.
I am not sure about Phase 8 but when I went to Enclave's design wing, the equation signified that Bahria deliberately tilted balance in favour of design wing. For 10 Marla, one has to pay 200,000/- for designing and everything from design wing. If one designs it from outside, payment of 190,000/- has to be made. So it's clear that design wing has an edge.
Now coming to your main question about abilities of design wing, unfortunately, I do not know much about it and someone else might help.
Also, 10 Marla elevations are fixed and outside architects not allowed to change even the colour. 1 Kanal front elevations are allowed to be changed.
So for 10 Marla, balance is tilted more towards design wing. No option.

Could any other member who are contractor or have/had experience with Bahria Phase 8 design wing shed some light on it please?
I have had an extensive experience of working with bahria design wing. Whether you get your map designed from outside or from Bahria, the cost has to be paid , so it’s advisable that one gets it designed by Bahria . Now as far as the abilities of design wing are concerned, I think that they are pretty basic, they are nothing like a professional private Archietecht. It totally depends upon you that what you want, tell the person who is handling your case and get it made as per your choice. Its but time consuming with no VIP treatment, but they definitely have the tools and teams to finalise your map. Don’t expect too much of advice hence do your homework and tell them this is what you want.

As you have good experience with Bahria could I asked you couple of more question if I may please....
1: I have 169 sq yards extra land with my plot which I am going to claim soon IA, Am I able to use all or some of that land for construction purposes or Bahria won't allow me?
2: Does Bahria allow me to build a frame type building (column & beam - normally shopping malls and house in Muree are build on these design) and then fill the gaps with blocks, whole purpose of mine is to build the insulated exterior walls.

M.S sb. All residential buildings in Islamabad are frame type. Columns on almost every load place and lentil beam on every wall. All beams and columns are connected and joined together and with RCC slab too. Anyone adhering to the specifications need not worry about earthquakes.
Regarding insulation, it isn't difficult. 1 inch Diamond Jumbolon is placed along the wall and another 3 inch wall is built to entrap the foam. That new wall is attached or tied to the existing wall. Than beam comes on top of it.
But wall insulation is a hassle unless your house is exposed too much to sun which is in case of corner houses. Have maximum 2 inch insulation on roof and you will enjoy. I had 2 inch insulation on roof and my Lenter transmits zero heat.
In 50x90 house, it's almost 20-22 columns which are quite a lot.
I hope you know that Bahria's design wing also has a design book.

We are builders working in DHA & Bahria Town. I also have 10 years experience of serving this organization as Engineer & now working as contractor.I answer you questions one by one.
Extra land with a plot may be used for construction .
Design Wing Bahria Town; Whether you get designed from Bahria Or from out side Bahria will charge total fee for architectural designing. You can get structure designed from structural engineers who are on approved list of bahria Town.
Restriction of fixed elevation is in some areas like Safari valley, in some sectors you can choose elevation from their list of elevations. So you have no option than to get your house designed from design wing Bahria Town. How ever you can get designed /amend plan of house as per your requirement or choice
Architects of Bahria Town are properly qualified but no one is an extra ordinary architect
Insulation of House ;
Thermopore and jambolin are used in roofs & external walls for insulation purpose . These sheets reduce penetration of heat to house by 75% . No thing so far is available which can totally cut off heat penetration.
Frame structure ( slabs resting on beams & columns and walls serving as partitions only) is allowed by Bahria Town, rather is preferable.

In short, go to BT Design Wing unless you have a design or designer that you definitely want to work with.
I had my house designed by BT Design Wing in Rawalpindi. I went with them because of financial reasons.
If you don't use them then you will have to pay both your architect and BT for approval of the design. But getting the design from BT saves you paying extra to the architect.
You would still need to hire a civil engineer to provide you with the structural design and diagrams and give them to BT.
BT design wing offers a satisfactory service. They try to accommodate your requirements. You can choose a front elevation from a range of designs that they have. I would not say that they are exceptionally creative but they are competent at the popular designs.

As far as I know Bahria does not allow to cover extra land for corner plots , you can't even fence it like residents of Islamabad sectors do. Bahria is very strict in this regard .
Dear MS, just go and visit Bahria design wing office and many of your queries would be resolved , Bahria is good in customer service and their team is pretty decent and educated .

I only asked you guys as I am not local otherwise would want to knock on Bahria's door :)(again...)
But honestly speaking I think staff is not even decent or educated but agreed on pretty!! as I have had a very bad experience with them very recently when I was there to collect an allotment letter... To me they are same like new generation of PATWAAR khana where patwariees and clerk are sitting in suite and ties.
Due to my bad experience I am actually looking for an honest contractor who have good experience with Bahria system, can also deal with them on my behalf and start doing construction on my plot.

Dear M.S, I feel your point, staff which handles allotment letter/transfers can be frustrating mainly due to the nature of their job but their design wing is better....but everyone has different experiences, I have also had heavy verbal altercations with their design wing staff....they also tend to make mistakes in map designing, be prepared their staff will not take any responsibility later....but still I think Bahria's overall staff/management/customer service is way better than any other society....
