Investment options

From investment point of view, for about two to three years, which is better option, to buy 1 kanal residential plot in dha phase - 8 or dha phase 6 or 7 lahore. I will highly appreciate suggestions and views with reasoning please. Thanks in advance.

Thanks brothers ! but I need a bit clarification with regards to prices of 1 kanal plots in current day of three phases,i.e. 6, 7 and 8. What I have observed is that Phase 6 is completely developed phase and construction of houses is progressing well even than the average cost of 1 kanal plot ranges from 120 to 160 depending upon location of plot. Whereas in phase 7 , some of blocks have already been given possession and remaining may get possession by the end of this year. The cost of 1 kanal plot fluctuates between 80 to 140, again depends on location. On other side, phase 8 is yet not developed and possession may take 2- 3 years depending upon pace of development work by DHA Authorities but still the cost of 1 Kanal plot in W Block (considered to be probably best block in of phase - 8) is approximately from 135 - 165. The summary of cost comparison of three phases is as under for clarity of all:-

Just looking on above parameters, I am bit confused as to why the prices of plots in two blocks of phases - 8 are even still higher today than the developed phases of 6 and 7. What is expected increase in price of plots near or after the possession. Comments are requested and specially from brothers Mr Khan and Mr Nasir Khurshid. Sanaullah you are right. Price of plots in developing phase 8 is in the same range or higher than several fully developed DHA schemes such as phase 6 or DHA EME sector.

I think this is because Phase 8 has the best development standards, widest roads etc.

Upon grant of possession, prices may reach main DHA phases. But only Allah knows for sure we can only make assessments.

Pk1 is right about the planning of Phase-8. Main DHA Phases mean the already developed phases of DHA and populated.

Thanks brother !!! Is it not natural that after possession of phase - 8 , it will also be the main phase of DHA Lahore and prices will be like all main DHA Phases. I didn't get with clarity that after possession of phase - 8 the prices will be like main DHA. As I mentioned, the prices in W and T Block specially of phase - 8 are even higher today in comparison to some main phases of DHA Lahore. After possession, are the prices not going to overtake the prices of main DHA. Or let me frame my question in another way, lets say after possession of phase - 8, its prices in comparison to phase 1- 7, where would stand. Thanks !!!
