Aoa,
I want to work in the field of property i.e. make money from property. But having invested so much time in study and having a regular good job with a company, I don't want to leave my field of accounting/finance.
What are the job prospects and opportunities in for an accounting professional in real estate firms like New York, Prism, Bahria etc.... And how to get such job?
In this way I would be close to real estate and maybe learn a lot without leaving my profession.
Any guidance???
Go to roadside property dealers
They will only offer commission only job. In the current climate you will be struggling to make bread and butter
What about dealers of bahria islamabad / pindi. I am under the impression that they are earnung a lot…
Usman,
Under the current circumstances, I totally understand your desire to keep your job/profession. The economic realities of life and the increasing problems of everyone around us shows that life is tough. There are no jobs and those who have jobs are lucky.
However, remember a golden rule in life: To achieve your dreams, you have to run after them and not look behind.
You cannot reach your dream destination with your feet in two boats! Rather, you have to burn your boats and conquer the world!
If you find a good accounting job with a big real estate developer, then fine - but you will find it difficult to do field work which is the real art of real estate.
If you dont find your desired job, you can still chase your dream and take the plunge.
Best of Luck!
U need to develop the skills of selling the ice to eskimo or telling the Misbah ul Haq to play fast ....
The most important skill is how to lie or show Green Garden to people :=).
When someone enter at your office , start talking over phone and tell the persons at room someone just bought files worth 8 crore rupees :=) ....
@ Apple good one bro…
Well, i won't recommend you to leave a job and join this field full time, you can do it part time, all my friends who are working in Telecom sectors, plus NGO's even doctors make money by investing in Real Estate and doing this work part time, it is tough to take out time as Real Estate is another full time job but still you can manage, from your job you have a sure shot income of xxxxxx....in Real Estate you don't have it.
In Real Estate field, you are not paid by salary, but in Prism and New York which are big names, they give salary, cars and residence, this business is entirely based on your contacts, sources and investors, plus capital of your own as well.
Getting that job is not that difficult, you need to meet them and they can hire you, it's simple, but in most of the offices, they keep you on 50 percent sharing of whatever you earn.
I would recommend you to continue your job but keep in touch with this field, you must have at least 2/3 Realtors known for every scheme, society, plus you can it in evening at some Real Estate office, i can help you in that, where you can sit and learn, it will take time, you will settle there after 2/3 transactions.
Wish you best of luck.
@nasir
I want to ask little explanation for the following of the last para of your post that YOU CAN SIT AT SOME REAL STATE OFFICE IN EVENING
How it works if I want to sit in some real estate office in evening what are percentage ,COMMISSIONS/transactions ,to be shared and expenses to be divided like rent , bills etc etc. Plz explain the modalities for this arrangement
It will guide lot of new comers

@Pk1, i am your fan onwards. Mesmerizing bro !!!
@ Usman…Brother you should really have your own money and play very smartly by investing that money…Only commissions cannot make you rich…Those who have earned millions and billions have also invested their money plus they always have some strong investors with them…If you qualify those pre requisites then property is a good business…
Dear Usman,
Real estate field is a big field, working part time you can make limited amount but not big money.
If your family depend on your salary then dont leave your current job and start real estate as part time.
If your family do not depend on you then you can take risk, as PK-1 mentioned you can not reach your ultimate dream with 2 feets in the boat.Just close your eyes and trust on Allah and your self.
Its all about confidence,as long you climb 1st stair, Allah will help for rest of stairs.
All the best
As all senior members have advised, I would say, real estate market is not easy to work with, however, it is good place to earn if you have the desired skills. Having your money is a plus point, which increase your chances of making money. As being in real estate market, you have closer eye on the things and you can pick good profitable deals for yourself...
I would suggest, to initially start it as part time, and see if you can fit into this field. Yes, I would agree with Pk1, you will need the art of telling false stories... Which I personally don't like, being a muslim, but people are doing this, and considers this as the necessity of the market. However, if one can trust in Allah and be straight and truthful, still one can be satisfied, with what ever amount you earn. Allah will put Barkat in it...
Hard work is indeed the key to success... Take the help of Naisr Khurshid and start working part timely, I hope you will learn the art slowly but gradually... Always keep ur eyes and ears open... Observe things closely....
Best wishes for your future....
Regards
Dear usman
All that glitters is not gold. Real estate is a very good field but its not easy. Ist of all if u r satisfy with ur current field and job then try to be a part time investor no need to disturb ur own field. But if u want to join property field as a financial consultant then study on this field try to spend some time with big bangs of property and watch them, then tell them ur skills that with ur financial studies and approach what better out put they can gain.
Khan Sb,
ur advise tha kr k dil ko lagi hai specially the truth factor wali baat and satisfaction shud be the ultimate goal for everyone.
By saying sit in the evening at any Real Estate office was actually sitting part time, learning, helping the owner.
Later on when they hire you, in most offices the aggreement is basically 50 percent of comission has to be given to office.
For Example in a deal you make 50k, you have to givr 25k to office and 25 k goes with you.
I see many new comers in bahria phase 7 like a dealer name zameen jayedad in bahria higher new comers but totally on commission based system like real estate advisor job tag …
@ Junaid…Sir that placed is now termed in the market as “Phase 7 Mandi”…
