Well a lot has been written and researched on this issue....Here i would like to discuss the moral obligations and physical impacts of big houses trends on agricultural land in our country....
=if only money is the criteria for grabing and entertainment use of land ....Then pakistan is at worst...We know ,that in many countries laws prevent agricultural land use for housing societies...But in our country 100 acre houses ..50 acre houses....And housing societies providing 12 kanal...10 kanal ...5 kanal plots and houses is common ,and is a symbol of social status.
=it frustrates the poor and lower middle class who even cannot afford a 5 marla house.
=we know in many countries high rising building apartments are bcz to provide extra free space in city for parks ,grounds , and agricultural use.....But in our country cities are choking from houses and less parks ,grounds bcz of lack of land ...There is also the problem of agricultural aspect ..With the city population even not capable of green vegetable sufficiency for the city....As a result chemically polluted water supply to adjacent areas which grows vegetables...E.G in rawalpindi..Karachi..Etc resulting in multiple cancers.
=do the rich or influential feel the moral obligation for stopping this practice in greater national interest?
=can we do something as a nation against this bad practice?
= do we consider it as bad thing.??
