- To admin or Shaista the property rank criteria should be changed, someone who start posting a-z in reply can become guru right now, second you should hire some experts who can work as guru, or improve market research, for example 6 month back you should tell people to avoid buying in Lahore at peak prices… Many new lads who became advisers in short while did not give good advices but selling what in their benefits, there should be a check and balance, when there is good will of you people than how you can allow some agent attached with you on giving you some Rs. to take away your sincerity to users. Plus this Zameen.com lacking ground info’s, ideas to invest in.
I think the ranking criteria encourages people to publish more and more posts. Even if some these posts are silly, this process at least triggers a discussion when more learned members issue a response to correct the views of the silly post.
In this way, the more discussion we have, the richer is the information data bank of this forum. And the more benefit we all get from here. The smart thing is to choose the gems and diamonds of advice from the thousands and thousands of useless stones. Secondly avoid confrontation which is the silliest of all silly things!
If this ranking criteria is not there, there will be less incentive to post, and hence less discussion.
I think the ranking criteria is good but yes, quality needs to be encouraged rather than the no of posts for becoming a guru.
Dear Shah,
Thank you very much for posting your suggestion.
There have been some concerns about the forum's ranking criteria and we are currently working on further refining it for our users, who remain our primary concern. While we are working on improving the ranking criteria, I would also like to stress upon the need of doing your homework first. It's never wise to solely rely on others' advice.
Regarding your suggestion about hiring gurus, I don't really think that's necessary when we have people like Pk1, Syed Ibrahim and MBS as contributors on this forum. :) I only mentioned a few but there are loads of others who have earned both recognition and respect from their fellow contributors and are known for their selfless advices.
Thanks again for your suggestions and keep posting.
