Future of G14 and Investment advice required

G14 allottees association held a press conference yesterday lamenting the current DG FGEHA of delaying work in G14. According to sources, as a result of the pressure exerted by the allottees association, FGEHA has planned a few operations in G14/2 & 3 in the coming days and are targeting to clear G14/1 after this.

My question to members is if it is wise to keep a plot in G14/1 or move it elsewhere. Please share suggestions as well if the answer is to move the investment somewhere else.

G-14 will rise, Metro being operational will give it a good boost. Water is the main issue but till its fully developed it has the potential.

If it was like a blood-filled Land Grab like BTs and DHs, G-14 and for that sake all CDA sectors would had been developed long ago. The people having land their take CDA/FGEHA to the court and it takes unusually long to get the land and the Built Up Properties (BUP) add to the misery of land acquistion.

When is metro planned to be operational for this part of the route ? And what horizon should one look to hold his plot in order to get possession or obtain substantial gain

To be precise, it was supposed to be operational by 2018 or even with delay at Max 2020. However, post 2018 the progect is stagnant and in a detariorting situation.

To start it or not to start it, its a double edged sword for the Govt. so the project remains under jeopardy, as of now …

i think possession plots in G-14/3 and 2 has great potential, these plots are 20-30% cheaper compared to G-14/4 and G-13, so once that area get more population and development these plots will rise. As possession is available on those plots so very less risk compared to G-14/1. I am also looking for a 10 marla plot in G-14/2 or 3.

Few weeks back an MOU is signed between PCRWR, CDA and FGEHA to resolve the water crisis in Islamabad. In next 2-3 months govt is going to announce a mega water supply project for Islamabad.

For investment, water issues matters least!! No matter what people keep investing like crazy to whatever sells without much rationale thinking. So till all possession it will keep growing.

For personal living, in that bracket not advised much better is D-12 for personal use.
