Faisal Town Phase 1: Water Supply Concerns and Considering a Move to CDA Sectors

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out to share and seek advice on an issue that has been developing in Faisal Town Phase 1. Until recently, we enjoyed free water supply, which I considered a basic and essential service. However, the situation has drastically changed, and now we are being charged 2,000 PKR per tanker.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a private bore-well, and I’ve noticed that even those with bore-wells are experiencing significantly reduced supply. This shift to charging for what was previously a free essential service is quite alarming. The imposition of a fee of 2,000 PKR per bowser for water is hardly a sustainable solution, especially considering the essential nature of water.

This has led me to reconsider my living situation. Is moving to the CDA sectors a good idea? I’m concerned about the unpredictability of changes in utilities and services here in Faisal Town. For those of you living in CDA sectors or who have made a move recently, could you share your experiences? Is the situation regarding utilities more stable there?

I’m looking for stability and transparency in basic services, and I would appreciate any insights or advice you could offer.

Thank you!
