Yes, that is correct. This action will no doubt further increase the trust of investors in such projects because they will know that sooner or later the top brass will take action and fix the problems. What is happening to MR in DHA valley is another good example. Also lets not forget that DHA city was not originally a project of DHA Lahore but that of EME. After the problems developed, top leadership transferred its control to DHA Lahore in order to sort things out.

On the other hand, the unfortunate people who are stuck in the hands of private housing projects such as Eden, BE2 and even CDA undeveloped sectors have no hope.

Valley investment in commercial seems good as we stand but only in the sectors which are at height and near to the DHA homes, such as Oleander, Liily, Daffodil etc.

If the current status of the development stays then before General Raheel quits office, valley will have good prospects. One must avoid the dam locations as still no one knows about the dam fate.

The above mentioned sectors 4 Marla commercials are now difficult to get from owners as they are only pricing them.

I personally think these plot would see another correction as without residents being there, they might lose value but after DHA homes and some blocks handover, as DHA is saying, the profit could be expected for short time.

I wish and pray that things you’re mentioning becomes a recurrent story or rather even better that it becomes a consistent and permanent system; although realistic odds of a General Raheel coming again are low if past history or even current environment generally is used as a logical guide. So valley investors should thank Allah for what they get before Gen. Raheel leaves office and learn from their mistake not to do it again

While it may not be easy to get another General Raheel but those who understand the dynamics of bureaucracy (both civil and military) in Pakistan will tell you that it is not easy for any bureaucrat to stick his neck out in order to change course from the charted path. That is why Gen Raheel gets so much appreciation because he demonstrated leadership and changed the whole course of National Policy. It will take a man of almost equal standing to reverse the tide back to the era of Gen Kiani.

This news item in todays newspaper should further act as a source of hope for those who have invested in DHA valley and other military projects, and also a timely warning for those looking to invest in Bahria.

The news item is crap, a rehash of well known story. Why would the prices drop down further?

This is the policy of the proerty mafia. They will keep it hot and cold and with the difference they will make money. I will just suggest, just freeze where u r. Dont buy or sell now.

Awais sahib! may Allah make what you said true for the future. But my brother, the whole thing is the same except a little temporary breeze because of Gen. Raheel. A corrupt person will have everyone on his side. Gen. Raheel has indeed done a few good things, but the fundamentals are all the same and can not be changed in short 3 years because of one good general. Only time will decide this, but my sincere advice based on pure logic to valley investors is that they get out before Gen. Raheel goes … Rest only Allah knows the future.
