I have a plot in dha phase 6 and i am planning to sell it. I bought the plot on july 2013 and it has been one year and three months since the plot was bought. I have valid suitors for the plot , genuine parties who are willing to buy it. My question is that am i eligible to pay capital gain tax of 5%/10% ? As my real estate man told me that if the property is less than two years old , you will have to pay the 5% of dc rate of your actual price of your plot. Also there is something call 0.5% withholding tax , do i have to pay that also?
I am also to pay the non development penalties and security charges. How much are those?
Can anyone give me a round estimated figure detail wise against each process of selling of plot.
Will be grateful if i get a reply as urgently as possible.
