I can say with fair confidence and trust that for IMF, WB or for that sake any global institute can never fabricate numbers. Too much at stake for too less or nothing to gain. Their policies can be manipulative but it's up to their customers to sign up for those policies or not.
Numbers/Data/Charts coming out from them will be accurate, transparent to the best of info. that is available and they don't give a damn whether that's US, IND, PAK or for that sake PML, PTI et al.
How tabloids and news outlets manipulate the textual description of numbers is subjective and of-course agenda-driven.
Right as always but here is a situation to be pondered upon:
If Pak agencies get successful in getting those looted billions from all 100 thieves (agencies news not NAB). Those billions get deposited in treasury then we would see a different rating of IMF and the lot?
If all Pak agencies are not able to recover then in spite of IMFing:

Yes I can buy transparency as without it, their business could suffer but there is a certain level of feedback, these institutions rely on crooked NGOs and that's where plot thickens!
For sure Foreign Reserves or Remittance reflects a number and any number-driven institute/metrics go after that, no matter how that got inducted with exceptions of laundered money and alike stuff.
As I said, our law was and is protection to power elite regardless of the names/faces.
- Poor gets his property bulldozed, MR gets a clean chit from SC for the peanut sort of money.
- NS, AZ, IK pay a few thousand as property tax for their royal palaces and assets but a poor commoner pays at times 50% tax even on life saving medicine.
- Maryam Nawaz, Asfa Zardari, Aleema Khan get tax evasion, off-shoring, and asset beyond declared means and referred to as 'Daughter/Honorable Women of Nation', while real daughters are being harassed and bullied when they get out to earn legitimately with tax paid.
- Dar, Dr. Asim and Tareen despite being convicted get full protocol (national media, govt. meetings) while an innocent gets his innocence certificate after decades, upon his death in the jail!!
Any law enforcing institute is far from being any fair or vigilant, to say the least

When Caesar and his Aristotle have fullfiled all conditions of IMF, devalued rupee to rock bottom, increased policy rate to highest, increased petrol, gas, electricity prices and stalled CPEC progress, at this juncture IMF may tell them, "JAO BABA MAAF KARO".
IMF is a puppet of Washington and Washington has been doing what New Delhi has been proposing.
Ghaddar Nawaz received 3 year of IMF loan program and 2 years of surprise additional budgetary support afterwards.
Nawaz wasted our foreign reserves to hold Dollar rates at fake levels for 5 years. Not once IMF said anything. Instead he was given waiver of program violation 14 times during these 5 years. Why?
Because that GHADDAR was given a task to weaken our Army and jeopardize our defense abilities. Loans that we recieved were spent foolishly on white elephants like metro and flyovers.
Alhamdolillah Nawaz is being sorted out for good and New Delhi have already facing the music after losing a MIG-29 and a SU-30MKI.
Khan must not accept IMF bailout. Otherwise next budget will be made by IMF and they will force many other conditions.

Pressure from all international fronts was always expected since Pak establishment decided to change strategic alliances. Things might get even worse in near future. But its nothing new, been through economic sanctions and what not. Regional realignment was long overdue. Country finaly moving in the right direction. Long road ahead for stability yet.
With due respect some of the comments made about big international organisations like imf or wb seem pretty gullible. The notion that international financial organisations cannot fabricate or manipulate things for certain economic or political agendas is pretty naive to say the least.
Its kind of like saying the bbc is an independant organisation. Yeah right.

We have seen Ishaq Dar used to give manipulated figures and these so called " International lenders" were painting flashy painting about Pakistan.
Plus some currupt NGOs feedback about Pak.

For organizations like IMF or WB, actual data comes from official sources, in Pakistan's case SBP and Bureau of Statistics from Pakistan. It is not possible that SBP says and publishes, for example, Inflation as X Unit and Growth as Y Unit and Bureau of Statistics reports unemployment as Unit & IMF/WB have some contradictory figures - not possible. As the name implies, the primary role of 'Monitoring'. However, if you are a repeated borrower, you will have more conditions, this is how almost all lenders work!

The notion of 'strategic alliance', 'regional realignment' and 'moving towards stability' sounds optimistic. But when I look at the ground facts, nothing sticks to me.
We could have moved towards these goals with political harmony, institutional strengthening and economic growth. As these are the drivers of stability.
What we see instead is:
1. heightened polarization through media manipulation and selective witch-hunting,
2. controlled demolition of institutions
3. economic disaster.
Why? I ask myself. The only answer that seems plausible is the centuries old tactics, that is, 'control the public resources and divide people'.
To make this strategy work, a big time looser was re-incarnated as a larger-than-life hero, who abuses his opponents and the crowed goes mad after him. Then he's brought to power through managed process and flanked by Musharraf's ex-horsemen. Half of the nation goes crazy about this fake hero and the other half goes crazy thinking why the first half has gone crazy.
Don't you see the extent of this craze, even on this property forum people are chanting slogans "zindabad", "murdabad".
Does anyone stop for a second and thinks what he is doing. Is he using his brain and senses or what?

SBP and statistic department may be straight when it comes to giving data to outside institutions but we have seen large currupt practices of SBP inside the country!

As per my study a couple of years ago, there were 45000 think tanks around Washington and each country hire lobbyists to endorse hers agenda via these think tanks....... i believe PATWARIES were thinking to hire lobbyists but i could not confirm it further.......

For sure, that has been the point from the go that problem mostly is at our end and institutes that have been unable to rise up their stature.
Lobbying works for opinions, subjective matters, policies without a doubt. No lobby can manipulate official figures, sometimes facts are strong enough to be manipulated and credibility matters.
We, speaking in general feel it normal to issue blanket statements and mixing all up, while hiding out internal in-competencies. People who are happy to classify their countrymen (as Patwari, Youthia, Jiala, Muhajir etc.) exclusively on the basis of having difference of (political) opinions, hard to expect even basic IQ from such 'Arm Chair Intellects' to distinguish between opinions and facts!!
