I want to buy a plot of 10 Marla in Bahria town phase 8 sharing half amount with my brother.
My question is can we split this 10 Marla plot into 5, 5 Marla for each. Is this allowed in Bahria town, as I could not afford to have a plot in good location in Bahria town so I have convinced my brother to share 5 Marla with me.

Well to be honest i haven’t seen any case in Bahria town. People do so in other places but in bahria town i think you can construct two houses with a single gate and a mutual lawn. In that way brothers shall live united while enjoying the privacy of separate houses.
It is possible to have both your names on the transfer /alottment document. You would be legally sharing the land then. Ofcourse you would have to sell it as a whole 10 marla plot.
As pointed out b Ahsen Khan, you can have two houses with one gate and can co-share the 10 marla on both names as listed by FCC.

Yes, a 10 marla plot can be transferred on the name of two people ( in your case 2 brothers) but you can not build 2 houses of 5 marla each on the same plot.
