Assalamoalikum warahma
Have spent a few year in a Margalla facing house in islamabad and it was a bitter experience since there was no margalla to be viewd from the windows but just the opposite house in the street.
The house was colder in winter and warmer in summer. Darker as well despite being a kanal house with plenty of windows.
I knew then that rawalPindi facing house is much better in terms of sunlight and seasonal benefits.
However I am confused if we include Tarnol and Murree Facing houses as well. East, West ,North and south which one will the expert recommend? Stricly speaking about main Islamabad D,E, F and G sectors.

Personally I think your experience is correct, South or Pindi facing is good.
