Hi everyone. Hope you all doing well. Just wanted to know what has been the experience of people living in bahria town while working in the main city. Is the commute too long and exhausting? Is it worthwhile to live in bahria town while your work place is let’s say near shaheen complex. Thanks in advance.
It will take you a considerable amount of time around 1 hour normally to get to islamabad. Otherwise everything else is good especially in phase 1 to 6
I am living here for the last 4.5 years. Reaching Shaheen complex daily from Phase 8 is not a problem until and unless Islamabad Expressway is going good. It will take you around 50 to 55 minutes normally and in the evening with peak traffic can take you almost 70 to 75 minutes in your private car. Compare other facilities for your family here in this locality like no power, gas and water shortage problems.
Agreed with Kashif and to add further unfortunayely in pakistan road are too crowded and full of traffic signals, otherwise 30-35 KM living outside workplace is very normal in any developned part of the world and people preffer to live bit away from hustle buzzle of cities. 30-35 KM means just 25 minutes drive if roads are good.
The cost at which you get the standard of living in Bahria is still way less compare to ammount of time you spent in travelling, end of the week or during vacation ateast you can enjoy a nice time in fresh oxygen and green atmosphere.
personal preferences, some still like the narrow dirty street with rerhi walla vendors and other sounds all day long, garbage every where, more costly house compare to Bahria, but still want the house in center of every thing.
