B-17 Garbage site danger, protest against cda

As per Member Planning Asad Mehboob Kiyani, CDA is planning to use A-17 for landfill as the twin cities garbage disposal needs are growing fast.

If plan goes through this landfill site will be direct danger to the residents of b-17. Therefore, everyone must protest against this.

Previously cda had plans to use kuri road but enclave management used influence and forced cda to give up that plan.

B-17 management should wake up and do something to stop this plan and force cda to rather adopt modern alternatives to landfill.

This is the dilemma of our nation. We never speak up or stand up against injustice and tyranny.

If people start standing up against injustice, 5% of elites will never be able to fool 95% of the citizens of Pakistan.

I am not an expert but if they start dumping garbage on this location, decomposing will pollute air with methane gas, ruin the soil, toxins will pollute the underground water. It is also a danger to Sangjani water treatment plant which provides water to Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

There is already a WAPDA grid station on one side of B-17 which is also a health hazard as it produces electromagnetic cloud that are known to cause cancer.

All they need is to adopt modern alternatives to this old practice of landfill.

Just heard from sources that residents of B-17 will arrange protest against CDA plan to use A-17 as garbage dump.

If everyone gets united, they can force CDA to give up this project.

CDA allocated 100 million to build this garbage dumping site in A-17. Plan is going solid. Very bad news for B-17.

Yes, danger to whole area but B-17 will be hardest hit as it is right next to planned site. Living conditions will become terrible for in B-17.

What could be the possible alternates, can CDA afford incinerators?

Yes, there are several alternatives which CDA should opt for. Japan is also interested to give aid for this project. But most of it will end up in commissions for CDA bureaucracy. Too much vested interests in Pakistan.
