I am planning to buy one Kanal plot in AWT. Should I go ahead or you have a better suggestion?

AWT is a good investment for next 2 months uptill awt interchange but dont wait prices are already increasing day by day by the way in this range u can check CDECHS e16/17 its also a good option with possession and a proper CDA sector

@Syed Ibrahim Thank you for your reply. My understanding is that AWT is also a proper CDA Sector D-18. I am not sure about the possession but I heard that some houses are under construction there. Please comment.
@Dr Muhammad. AWT is located in D-18. However CDA has a certain way of dividing areas. Proper CDA controlled sectors are in Zone 1 so at present the sectors on the other side of the GT road are proper CDA controlled sectors.
Sectors on this side of the GT road are for private societies, which although not maintained by CDA, fall under their regulatory control. This belt ends at 17 series. Sectors beyond 17 are administratively beyond CDA control, but interestingly many fall under the jurisdiction of Islamabad police, including D-18. So there is a likelihood that after the new Islamabad airport opens in H-20, these limits may be revised.
The society development is complete and immediate possession is available. A couple of houses are under construction but major construction will start soon after the interchange is opened in a couple of months.

Go for either Block D or B. You can get a good location kanal plot in that budget.
I recently got a 1 kanal corner plot in H - block. Interestingly i am already getting 3 lakhs profit on it. But i intend to keep it for construction purpose as AWT is a good place
@Dr, Mohammad, I would suggest you to buy a good location plot. Property dealers are suggesting to buy plots in B and D block but the prices there are on the higher side. U can look for other blocks as well as it is not a big place. Try to get a good location plot in H block as it is comparatively cheap
I have heard today that asking rates for good location 10 marla plots in D block have touched/crossed 30 lakhs this week?!! Can anyone who has the latest update please confirm whether its correct? Thanks.

The prices of good location 10 Marla plot in D block have crossed 30 lakhs and people are demanding 31 and more...Its going to keep on rising as the interchange work is in progress and may get stable once it is operational
Thanks Taimoor sb. Well thats a really good increase then, in April this year these plots were selling for about 15 lakhs before interchange work began, so the prices have now doubled within a few months! The best thing is that the price increase is due to a tangible infrastructure project rather than just market speculation. I would say its good going so far, now waiting for home construction to start as well.
AWT is very good risk free investment for short term due to interchange development.

Yes the prices are increasing due to infrastructure development rather than any speculation. I went to AWT office in Saddar for my plot transfer and the person there told me that now there are almost 100 transfers of plots in a month. At the start of the year there were only 2, 3 transfers in a month. The location of AWT is much better. People who have visited, liked the place. The good thing is that AWT is giving possession of the plots and you can initiate construction there. Heard that already there are some construction work started on commercial plots. I hope that we will be seeing construction of houses there soon.
