Anyone living in B-17? How is life in general and commuting to Islamabad? Any issues related to construction, water, power?

I am constructing house in B17. Where i am constructing there is already a family living.
They have got electricity, gas and because of boring ... No got enough water.
I have got boring of my house and water was available after 60ft ... I have done 175ft so its good
I have been to this place numerous times in last 3 months ... And will definitely shift once house is completed. Its best society in Islamabad
Dear Lucky... Can you tell us how many houses are under construction. Does it look and feel like the population is starting to build up and this will be a flourishing sector in the future. Or is the buildup decadent and slow with a few houses on each street?
Any signs of schools etc being constructed etc?
B-17 still need alot of time to be residental place for islamabad people.Infact it will remain an investment society until completion of Margalla Avanue. When MA will complete no solid news until now.

Since last 6 month i have seen 10's of houses been constructed in B17. Though it will take time ... But it will be populated only people start construction.
My friend has been living in B17 for a year now ... And he is happy ...
The way prices are on sky high in main islamabad ... Pplz like me dont have any other choice but to built house in sectors like B17 which is not a bad sector at all
Lucky you are very right.
In fact, B-17 has better facilities and nicer roads as compared to main Islamabad especially if you compare with the nearest Zone 1 Sector D-12.
When Margalla Avenue is complete inshaAllah (more than 60% work already done), the price gap between D-12 and B-17 will be decreased. B-17 prices will not reach D-12 but will become nearer and will get linked to D-12. Just like G15/F15-1 prices are linked to G13/G14-4 prices.
If you ask me, B-17 is the future. Look at the price difference and look at the road distance of only 11km mostly down a straight road (once Margalla Ave is completed). This will be 5-10 minutes drive.
This is why I always say that B-17 is the best long term investment in Islamabad area. You can also consider D-17 but Multi has a much better standard of development and maintenance.

Since 2010 the construction has been started in B-17 B-block. Its nearly 4 years i dont think more than200 houses have been built in B-17 B-block.There is no bank, no School running, no shops ( only 2-3 shops in a plaza which i seen 3 months before),No small hotel, No clinic etc.Only Good things sofar there is hudge Mosque have been built +Some children parks .These things will take some time to build then some one like me to think to build a house.
I personnly have a plot in B-block but just waiting for completion of Margalla avenue .
