Affectees of NFC, Punjab Cooperative, Al-Kabir Town should pay attention. The news came today that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has launched an investigation to investigate three housing societies.
NAB has asked the affectees of the NFC Employees Cooperative Housing Society Phase II (located near Sattukatla), Punjab Cooperative Housing Society (located on Ghazi Road) and Asia Town Gwadar (Asia Acre Scheme Ali Green Group) to register their complaints at its Thokar Niaz Baig office today.
The affectees of these projects have complained that the developers of aforementioned housing projects have charged them unlawfully in terms of booking plots/houses, registration certificates, membership forms and committed fraudulent plot allocations. Furthermore, the complaints stated that these societies lack the provision of basic amenities like power, gas and other facilities for the dwellers.
Moreover, the court has summoned owners of Al-Kabir Town and Lahore Development Authority (LDA) officials on the case of defrauding public for money – as AL-Kabir Town was launched without a Non-objection Certificate (NoC) or required land and LDA’s involvement is suspected.
