I am searching for 5 marla residential plot for long term, i have short listed few societies, like university town, ichs, just wanted to know from expert in islamabad, are these all approved society and safe for long term investment. I am basically based in lahore. And dont know much about islamabad property. Please guide me a bit.

For long term investment UT can be a good option, its location can prove to be good. ICHS location wise may not be that prime and quite long term. Both are RDA approved
Also check CBR Phase II. You may get a developed and possession plot in about 15 lac. The rates have increased in the last few days and months. Its location is reasonable, touching CDA sector I-16 and the developer have good record delivering in Phase I. Phase 2 also looks promising, so far. RDA Approved.
If you can manage 3 - 4 lac more, BT Phase 8 can be a very good option with possession plot and one of the best places in RWP. Only issue is that its a bit away from mainstream city. RDA Aproved
May be also check B-17, F block. CDA Sector.
These are my suggestions in your budget. Importantly, first make a visit yourself and than short list 2 - 3. Due to the new Airport inauguration, you may see some jump in the prices in a week or two week time.
