3rd story on load bearing structure 5 marla house

Dear experts and all,

I have a house on solid ground purchased last year in rawalpindi but its on load bearing structure its 5 marla 1250sqf house 2xbed with attached bath living room drawing room kitchen on both floors ,,,now i am planning to construct 3rd story only 2 rooms attched bath kitchen and only living room..Someone told me its not recommended to construct 3rd story on load bearing structure kindly advise if load bearing structure is normal in Rawalpindi and wheatehr i should go to construct it or not..Also note that this house is my life time earning...So please experts advise.

Dear Hassan

If the foundations are built according to load bearing walls design, for example brick work in foundations starting from minimum 27" wide,then there is no problem for 3rd story.if you are confused about foundations then stop thinking about 3rd floor.

plans and structure drawings. He will advise you accordingly.
