1 Marla = 'X' Square Feet

Aoa,

I am confused over the measurement of 'Marla' in terms of square feet in Rawalpindi/Islamabad/others.

Someone told me 30 x 60 size is 6.6 Marla, some say it is 7 Marla, some say it is 8 Marla? What is it exactly?

Google says,

1 Marla = 225 sq ft in Punjab/Islamabad and = 272.25 in KPK?

As we have to pay land price 'Per Marla', hence please help many of us in clarifying this definition, so that some estate agents don't overcharge naive buyers.

This is how I convert Square Feet to Marla... 1 Marla = 25 Square Yard 1 Square Yard = 9 Square Feet hence 1 Marla = 25 * 9 = 225 Square Feet

Thanks for it. From math I know 1 Marla = 272.25 sq feet.

If Islamabad and other big cities marla is smaller?
