Gulshan-e-Maymar is a neighbourhood in Gadap Town, located on the outskirts of Karachi near Dreamworld Resort. The project was launched in 1980. The scheme has 13 phases that spread on an area of about 1023 acres. It was established to accommodate 100,000 residents. So far, nearly 45% of that number is residing in the society.

The average range of 240 sq. yd. homes is PKR 1 to PKR 2.7 crore. Lastly, investing in 500 sq. yd. unit can cost you around PKR 2 to PKR 6 crore.
Authorities provided utilities in the area even before residential properties were constructed. They took six water connections from KWSB for water supply. For electricity, there are 20 sub-stations powered by K-Electric. Gas is also available in all sectors. The developers have designated generous spaces for clubs, parks, and mosques In Gulshan-e-Maymar. The society has more than 200 ex-servicemen for security. Motorbikes and mobiles also patrol the area from time to time.
At least 12 schools have already been built in the area, while 29 are in the pipeline. The ones that have been constructed, and are operational, include The Educators, The Foundation School, The Brainiac School, Knowledge House School, and Fox Valley School. Inside Gulshan-e-Maymar, there isn’t any university, however, the University of Karachi is just 20 minutes away. From general to dental hospitals, residents have access to major healthcare facilities within society. Some notable hospitals in the area are Bisma Trust Charitable Hospital, Al-Shifa Diagnostic Centre, Faiz-e-Aam Medical Centre, and Afsar Memorial Hospital.
Gulshan-e-Maymar is a well-developed area. Popular brands like Gul Ahmed have set up their outlet(s) here. If you are looking for other options to buy clothes, you can head to Hunain Habit Plaza and Taiser Heights and Shopping Mall. For groceries, there are Nooristan Super Mart and Welcome Super Store. For eating out, residents have plenty of options like Z-Six Restaurant, Pizza Zone, Mohsin Foods, and BBQ Express Restaurant.
Among all the remote areas in the city, Gulshan-e-Maymar is a peaceful locality with almost all facilities necessary for living comfortably. There are schools, hospitals, parks, mosques, shops, and pharmacies. The roads are well paved and public transport is readily available as well. You might have to compromise on the distance from the main city, but overall, it is a nice area to buy a house.
