Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Information Shaukat Yousadzai recently announced that various road and school construction projects were underway for the development of Shangla district, a news source reported.

The minster revealed that the construction and repairment of 50 out of 88 schools that had been damaged by an earthquake would be completed by June later this year. He added that the construction of Ajmer and Kerhai road would also be completed soon.

The information minister attended a meeting with a delegation from Shangla district at his office. The delegation informed the minister about the problems in the district and discussed the development schemes in progress.

Mr Shaukat told the delegation that a tender had been released for the establishment of Rescue 1122 in Alpuri and Bisham. Additionally, he promised a civil veterinary dispensary would also be established in the area in the near future.
