Sargodha: Sargodha Commissioner Dr Farah Masood recently announced that private housing schemes will not receive approvals from the authorities concerned if they failed to install recycling sewerage plants on the premises, according to news sources. She revealed this information while addressing a session held for the Clean & Green Pakistan Index — adding that the regulation should become part of the approval process for all housing developments.

Commissioner Masood also directed the authorities concerned to send samples from 27 filtration plants in the city to the laboratory to test the water quality. She added that officers concerned should heavily fine individuals littering or damaging streets, roads, neighbourhoods, hospitals, workshops, and trade avenues.
Additionally, Dr Masood advised the metropolitan officers to perform their duties as required or they would face strict action. She also ordered the Parks & Horticulture Authority to improve its performance and directed the departments concerned that they only had a week to ensure the cleanliness of the city.
