The SDA chairman said that the authority was established three years ago and members for its governing body had also been finalised, but it was unable to get the required funds from the Punjab government. He also revealed that the SDA governing body had shared various uplift projects with the provincial executive but due to the lack of required funds, it had failed to initiate work on these projects.

The SDA is sorting ways to generate its own funds. For this purpose, the authority will auction plots in Model Town and also complete pending development work. Kahlo said that a meeting will soon be held with Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar, and Governor Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar to discuss the funds matter.
