Faisalabad: Faisalabad Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) President Rana Muhammad Sikandar revealed that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has directed the officials concerned to remove any hurdles faced by exporters in clearing their sales tax refund claims under 72 hours, a news source reported.

The FCCI president said that the PM directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and his Advisor on Commerce, Industry, Production and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood to remove any obstacles in issuing the claims. He gave the orders after attending a meeting with representatives of the Islamabad Chambers of Commerce.

Furthermore, PM Khan directed the officials concerned to streamline the refund system to fulfill the promises made to the exporters. FCCI President Sikandar added that the PM also asked Mr. Dawood to facilitate the FCCI in the construction of the Faisalabad Expo Centre.
