Islamabad: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Ministry of Planning, Development, & Special initiatives on Thursday agreed to implement an Intelligent Project Automation System (IPAS) to establish transparency in the government’s internal processes and advance business initiatives, according to news sources.

Ministry of Planning, Development, & Special Initiatives Secretary Zafar Hasan and PITB Chairman Azfar Manzoor signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard on the behalf of their organizations.

Member Science & Technology Hussain Abidi, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan, and other officials were also present on the occasion.

Secretary Hasan said during the meeting that the IPAS implementation would expand productivity, enhance workflow and internal processes of government businesses, reduce operational risks, and improve core business operations in the ministries concerned.

The agreement would also ensure other features, including AS-IS analysis, business process improvement, communication and coordination, IPAS customization and training along with on-site implementation.
