Lahore: The phase I of the project for laying underground electric wiring in the Walled City will be completed by December, according to news source. The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) is working on the PKR 900 million project at a fast pace. The project has been sponsored by the Asian Development Bank.
In Phase I, electric lines are being laid from McLeod Road to the Sunny View Grid Station. LESCO Chief Executive Syed Wajid Ali Kazmi says that by December 31, the work on Phase I of the project will be completed, while the work on Phase II will be completed by March 2018. The project will be completed before summer next year, said Kazmi.
Laying of new underground electric lines will fix the load-shedding issues in the Walled City.
