Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Wildlife and Environment Syed Muhammad Ishtiaq Umar has directed the authorities concerned to expedite the expansion work of the Peshawar Ring Road project, a news source reported. The road will connect Dalazak Chowk and the Dalazak Grid Station.

The minister gave the directives while presiding over a meeting held with officials of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company, the Communication and Works Department, and other provincial agencies. Addressing the meeting members, he said that work on the road-expansion project should be completed without causing any trouble to the public.

The minister also said that no compromise on the work quality will be tolerated. He directed the concerned officials to ensure that the project gets completed in line with international standards.

The mentioned that this part of Peshawar Ring Road will ease traffic problems for the residents as well as travelers heading to and from Charsadah and other districts. In addition to fixing the traffic issues, the road will also promote economic activity, he added.
