Quetta: The construction work of Nawa-Killi Bypass is expected to commence from next week onwards, a news source reported. Provincial Secretary for Communication & Works Noor ul Amin Mengal on Tuesday inspected the project’s site.

During his visit, the secretary directed the authorities concerned to ensure the timely completion and use of quality material for the project. The officials concerned briefed him about the construction of the seven-kilometre bypass, which would start from next week. They added that the construction would incur a cost of PKR 450 million to reach completion.

Mengal stated that as per the vision of Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan, the provincial government had included several infrastructural development projects to provide relief to the people. Additionally, he issued orders to expedite the implementation of the Quetta Development Package.

The provincial secretary opined that the Nawa-Killi Bypass would provide ease of travel to people in the areas, as well as to those residing in Zarhoon Housing Scheme and Hanna Urak.
