The special counter was inaugurated by LDA Director General Sumair Ahmad Syed, who conducted his own biometric verification at the event. He took the opportunity to say that this new development would help authenticate the buyers and sellers of all property transactions in real-time. He added that the system would also provide the family tree, and other related details of the relevant parties, so as to eliminate any risk of future disputes.
The DG LDA assured that biometric technology was reliable because of its high identification accuracy and that it could substantially help in preventing fraudulent cases caused by multiple or forged identities.

This special counter is the first step for all LDA customers. The NADRA officials at the counter will verify the applicants based on family details, marital status and other data. In addition, the database will be periodically synchronised with LDA’s internal system and NADRA will also be charging a verification fee in order to make the system financially feasible.
