The funds were initially supposed to be issued in January but now they have been delayed to February.
The Northern Loop of LRR from Gulshan-e-Ravi to Kamahan was completed more than a decade ago and the roads in the central corridor near Niazi Interchange are now dilapidated which are causing vehicular issued and accidents for the motorists.

Under the contract, it is mandatory to resurface the LRR roads with asphalt every 10 years. A delay in the issuance of funds can cause increased wear and tear to the roads; thereby increasing the cost of repairs.
