The architects and town planners, who are registered with the LDA, have been allowed to execute inspections of all newly-developed residential and commercial/industrial buildings (up to a height of 50 feet).
These architects and town planners will submit cases (inclusive of all aspects) to the LDA for completion certificates issuance. The authority will issue certificates after undergoing all the codal formalities. It was also announced that LDA’s Town Planning Wing will randomly verify 10% of the buildings (whose completion certificates were issued by private entities). Subsequently, if any architect or town planner is found to be at fault, he/she will face license cancellations.
