Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has granted an approval to release of funds for the construction of the Shahkam Flyover, a news source reported. In this regard, Chief Engineer LDA Habib ul Haqq Randhawa informed CA-category companies that they had till February 10 to submit their pre-qualification documents.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Buzdar had approved of the construction of the Shahkam Flyover, but the project suffered a delay for over two months due to a lack of funds.

According to the Annual Development Programme (ADP), the construction of the flyover project will be started during the present fiscal year. Additionally, the project is expected to cost more than PKR 2.5 billion and includes the expansion of 8-Grade Chowk in its plans.
