Peshawar: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Thursday launched the digital Roznamcha (daily diary), a police human resource management system, and an electronic first information report (e-FIR) facility at the city’s Central Police Office (CPO), a news source reported.

Inspector General (IG) Police Sanaullah Abassi and other police officials were all present during the launching ceremony.
The government has reportedly taken the initiative to facilitate the locals and enable them to get FIR and Roznamcha through WhatsApp and e-mail – which come with the offer of a printed copy.

The chief minister appreciated the performance and endeavours of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police and hoped that the police department would continue with its efforts to digitise its services. He also directed the police officials to improve police performance in the erstwhile tribal districts.

The meeting, further, was briefed regarding the policing activities and challenges faced in these zones – as well as those accrued in providing security for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) programme.
