Karachi: In a bid to turn the provincial capital into a modern metropolis equipped with all facilities, the Sindh government has announced the completion of an enhanced bulk water supply system called the ‘Dhabeji Pump House’, according to a publication. As per details, this facility is designed to supply 100 million gallons of water per day.

The project is scheduled for inauguration today (Tuesday) at the Dhabeji Pumping Complex in Thatta District.
The pump house building spans over 75,000 square feet (with 5,000 square feet reserved for the pump house). The project features six pumps, four of which are operational. Each pump has a capacity to provide 25 million gallons of water on daily basis.

Meanwhile, the provincial government has said that it will continue to work on new projects and modernise the city’s infrastructure – with the provision of potable water stated to be the executive’s top priority.
