Lahore: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday announced its decision to offer financial assistance to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s Kamyab Jawan Programme, a news source reported. As per the publication, the Gulf state will release USD 200 million for the purpose of youth development in Pakistan.

The UAE ambassador made the announcement regarding the financial assistance during a meeting with the PM’s Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar. Previously, the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan had promised to provide these funds during his visit to Pakistan.
The PM’s youth programme has received global acknowledgement. The UAE envoy said that the Pakistani youth was talented and capable, and that his country would cooperate with Islamabad for the development of Pakistan’s young generation. He assured that practical steps for this purpose would begin soon.

During his meeting with Dar, the ambassador also announced the initiation of a youth exchange programme between UAE and Pakistan. Under this programme, a delegation of Pakistani youth will visit UAE to receive skills training in entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence. On the other hand, the UAE government has also offered Pakistani youth to become partners in the Dubai Expo 2020.
At this expo, the UAE government plans to provide special pavilions to youngsters from Pakistan. Appreciating the incumbent government’s measures for the youth, the envoy said that UAE has the potential to provide good opportunities to this vital community in the future.

Dar welcomed the financial assistance offered by UAE and said that it was the PM’s vision to uplift the country’s youth. He added that the government expected the young generation to play a vital role in boosting the national economy.
