CEO Uqaili stated that the company had received a great deal of interest from these firms, who were responding to the bids invited by the SEZMC via national and international newspapers for selecting the developer for the Dhabeji SEZ.
He said that they received the most responses from Chinese companies, followed by Japanese and Korean investors. He added that after the highest bidding firm has finally been selected, it will be expected to set up a company for developing the SEZ.
The government will provide the successful contender with gas, electricity, and water connections, along with helping complete all required paperwork. Furthermore, the private developer will have to bring private companies on board as well for the development of the project.
